We are seeking a seasoned Mainframe Professional with extensive experience in developing and maintaining large-scale enterprise-level applications on the IBM Mainframe platform. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and Batch Processing.

The role demands exceptional analytical skills, leadership abilities, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions that ensure high system performance and reliability.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain complex COBOL-based applications on z/OS.
  • Write, modify, and optimize batch processing scripts using JCL.
  • Work extensively with data storage and retrieval systems including DB2, IMS, and VSAM.
  • Develop and maintain transaction processing applications utilizing CICS.
  • Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and system optimizations to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Pursue mainframe modernization strategies, including integration with distributed systems.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and bug fixes.
  • Lead and mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance and best practices.
