Big Data Architect

We seek a skilled Big Data Architect to design and develop cutting-edge data solutions using Microsoft's robust platform. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong expertise in modern data architecture patterns, advanced data pipelines, and delivering actionable analytics to drive informed business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in contemporary data engineering techniques, effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, and proven success in driving strategic business initiatives forward.

  • Design, build, and optimize end-to-end data solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Power BI.
  • Develop scalable data models for seamless integration and endpoint processing.
  • Implement efficient data pipelines (real-time, batch, and BYOD).

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating semantic and dimensional models in Power BI.
  • Building enterprise dashboards, paginated reports, and self-service analytics solutions.
  • Applying DataOps best practices, monitoring, and performance tuning.
  • Ensuring high-quality data security, quality, and governance.
  • Integrating predictive analytics with Azure ML where required.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • 5–7 years of experience in big data engineering with Microsoft technologies.
  • Strong expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Power BI, SQL, T-SQL, Spark SQL, Python/Scala, DAX, and Power Query (M).
  • Experience with real-time streaming and batch processing.
  • Proven track record in implementing successful data engineering projects.

Preferred certifications include:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate / Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate / Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering or related field.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
