Cloud SRE & DevOps Developer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud SRE & DevOps Developer to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable infrastructure on AWS to support our microservices-based applications and REST APIs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement Infrastructure: Design and implement robust and scalable infrastructure on AWS to support our microservices-based applications and REST APIs.
  • Collaborate with DevOps Engineers: Work collaboratively with DevOps engineers to develop CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, and rollback of services.
  • Monitor System Performance: Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using APM tools, with a preference for Kibana-based solutions, and establish effective alerting mechanisms.
  • Identify and Resolve Issues: Proactively identify potential issues and bottlenecks through log analysis, performance metrics, and synthetic monitoring; implement preventative measures.
  • Troubleshoot Complex Incidents: Troubleshoot and resolve complex production incidents, performing root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Manage Database Performance: Manage and optimize database performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Configure Network Infrastructure: Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including load balancers, firewalls, and proxies, ensuring secure and efficient traffic flow.
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code Practices: Champion and implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices.
  • Work with Docker: Work with Docker for containerization of applications, managing container orchestration and registries.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams: Collaborate closely with development teams to define service level objectives (SLOs), service level indicators (SLIs), and error budgets.
  • Develop Comprehensive Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Drive Automation Initiatives: Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve system resilience.
  • Contribute to Capacity Planning: Contribute to capacity planning and performance tuning efforts.
