Job Overview

This role oversees procurement activities for designated areas of large-scale projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services required for scope. Coordinate closely with Project Managers to align with broader project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Customized Procurement Strategies: Create tailored plans and sourcing strategies for area-specific project needs, supplier selection, and negotiation approaches.
  • Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with Area Project Managers and Engineering teams to understand specific requirements, timelines, and milestones, ensuring procurement activities align with the overall project plan.
  • Supplier Evaluation and Contract Negotiation: Lead the area project procurement team in conducting market research, supplier evaluations, and bid analyses, identifying optimal vendors for the assigned project area.
  • Contract Management and Risk Mitigation: Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers, focusing on cost savings, quality assurance, and risk mitigation for your scope of work.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Track supplier performance and compliance, managing relationships with key suppliers and promptly addressing any issues affecting the project scope under your responsibility.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Provide regular updates to the overall Project Manager and Area Project Manager on procurement status, cost savings, and potential risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement management within large-scale projects in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing area-specific or partial project scopes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
