About the Role
  • We seek an experienced QA engineer to join our team, who can design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin).
  • The successful candidate will perform both manual and automated testing to ensure product quality across web, API, and integration layers.
  • The role involves writing feature files with clear, business-oriented scenarios and maintaining reusable step definitions.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to understand requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure test coverage.
  • The candidate will implement and maintain Page Object Model (POM) for scalable and maintainable automation.
  • Building and extending core framework utilities such as wrappers, waits, retry mechanisms, and driver handling are also key responsibilities.
  • Mentorship of junior QA team members and contributing to overall process improvements are additional aspects of the role.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Automation Frameworks: In-depth knowledge of WebDriver APIs, custom waits, element handling, and synchronization issues using Selenium WebDriver.
  • BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin): Writing business-readable feature files and mapping steps correctly to ensure reusability and modularity.
  • Programming Language: Strong OOP concepts, clean code practices with SOLID principles, and exception handling in Java or equivalent language.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Manual Testing: Hands-on experience with functional, regression, smoke, UAT testing.
  • API Testing: Experience in API testing using Postman/RestAssured.
  • Test Planning and Management: Strong understanding of test planning, test design, and defect management.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in QA, with at least 2+ years in automation testing.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
