Database Professional Wanted

We are looking for a skilled Database Professional to join our team. As a Senior SQL Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing databases using SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB.

  • Database Administration:
    • Ensure databases are properly maintained, including backups and restores, and manage deployments to ensure best practices are followed.
    • Collaborate with the security team to implement row-level security as needed.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Work closely with the security team to ensure database security and adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Data Management:
    • Manage migrations between servers and versions, ensuring seamless transitions.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with databases, working closely with vendor support when necessary.

You will work collaboratively with the IT team, including the development team, to ensure system availability and performance. This includes creating Change Management Requests and supporting reporting team members with database queries and data requirements.

Additionally, you will provide Power BI support, design and develop dashboards and reports based on business requirements, and optimize Power BI data models for performance and scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience as a DBA, with a focus on SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB.
  • Excellent knowledge of database administration, design, and maintenance for SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB.
  • Experience with database migrations and deployments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
