About the Role

As an AWS Cloud Engineer at Tarlton.io, you will work from home while collaborating with a global team of engineers, developers, and strategists who are building cloud infrastructure for high-traffic platforms.

You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure that powers our nationwide platforms. Your goal will be to ensure scalability, reliability, and security across all projects.

Your day-to-day tasks include:

  • Architecting and maintaining AWS environments (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, Route 53).
  • Automating deployments, scaling, and infrastructure monitoring.
  • Managing backups, disaster recovery, and multi-cloud redundancy.
  • Implementing and enforcing security best practices across AWS services.
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing infrastructure for cost and performance.
  • Collaborating with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and app integrations.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer or DevOps Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC, Route 53).
  • Proficiency in automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Skilled in Linux administration, networking, and security.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and optimization skills.
  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps, or DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
