Job Title: Senior Automation Developer

We are seeking an experienced automation developer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, modify, debug and evaluate programs for functional areas including finance, human resources, manufacturing and marketing.

You will analyze existing programs or formulate logic for new systems, devise logic procedures, prepare flowcharting, perform coding and test/debug programs.

Additionally, you will develop conversion and system implementation plans, prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation.

Your responsibilities will also include recommending changes in development, maintenance and system standards, training users in conversion and implementation of systems.

">Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of work experience in programming, scripting and/or automation or IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
  • OR 5+ years of work experience in programming, scripting and/or automation or IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor's degree.
  • 1+ year of experience with database design structures such as Mongo DB, MySQL.

Prior experience with multiple operating systems (e.g. Linux, OSX, Windows) is also desirable.

A strong background in programming certifications such as Java, C++, CSSLP, Scrum, etc. is highly valued.

">Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Unit testing your own code to verify stability and functionality.
  2. Communicating with project leads via email and direct conversation to make recommendations about overcoming impending obstacles.
  3. Gathering, integrating and interpreting information from a variety of sources to troubleshoot issues and find solutions.
  4. Resolving standard software issues and bugs.
  5. Adapting to significant changes and setbacks to manage pressure and meet deadlines independently.
  6. Participating in code reviews on project teams' submitted solutions.
  7. Writing code for small features or minor bug fixes to support collaboration with other engineers.
  8. Anticipating complex issues and discussing within and outside of project teams to maintain open communication.
  9. Managing individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables with minimal supervision.
  10. Collaborating with other analysts to complete assigned coding tasks to specifications without significant errors or bugs.
  11. Determining which work tasks are most important for yourself and junior personnel, managing distractions and dealing with setbacks in a timely manner.
  12. Executing against current technology roadmap.
