Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and culturally aware translator to handle the translation of advertisements for a leading publication.

The successful candidate will be responsible for translating ad copy from English to Marathi while maintaining the original impact, tone, and brand messaging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translation: Translate advertisement content (print and digital) from English to Marathi, including commercial ads, classifieds, promotional content, and display ads.
  • Accuracy and Clarity: Ensure accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness of translated advertisements.
  • Cultural Adaptation: Adapt advertising copy to suit Marathi audience sensibilities without losing the intent or promotional appeal of the original ad.
  • Proofreading: Proofread and review final copy before going to print to ensure error-free publication.
Requirements:
  • Degree Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Marathi Literature, Linguistics, Mass Communication, Advertising, or related fields.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in translation, preferably with a focus on advertising or media.
  • Linguistic Skills: Excellent writing and editing skills in Marathi.
  • Advertising Knowledge: Familiarity with advertising language, tone, and persuasive techniques.
  • Project Management: Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer tools (MS Office, Google Docs); familiarity with ad layout tools is a plus.
