About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Content Editor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for editing and publishing articles on various sports topics, working closely with a team of writers and editors to ensure engaging content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and publish 20-25 articles per day, maintaining high standards.
  • Fact-check and research articles to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Analyze article performance metrics to improve content and elevate reader engagement.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to refine and enhance published content.
  • Mentor and inspire writers to grow and evolve as contributors.
  • Stay up-to-date with breaking news and events, ensuring timely publication of relevant content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Media/Journalism or similar discipline.
  • 6-12 months experience in sports content editing, proofreading or similar role.
  • Strong command of the English language and understanding of American culture.
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles, including crafting engaging headings and subheadings.
  • Leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of writers.
  • Passion for sports, with eagerness to cover breaking news, live events and in-depth analyses.
