About the Role:

As a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving the financial success of Makse Group. Located in the heart of Dallas-Fort Worth, our team is passionate about supporting the Workday platform and adjacent business functions.

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team as a Financial Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for all day-to-day Accounting functions of the company. This includes assisting with the implementation of financial systems and processes, supporting the month-end financial close process, and maintaining the Company's general ledger and sub-ledger accounts.

You will also assist in preparation of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows. Additionally, you will support timely and accurate payroll processing, book appropriate journal entries, and help research technical accounting issues to ensure company compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the implementation of financial systems and processes, including General Ledger, billing, T&E, and AP procurement.
  • Support the month-end financial close process, ensuring all revenue and expenses are properly recorded, and balance sheet and bank reconciliations are complete across multiple entities.
  • Maintain the Company's general ledger and sub-ledger accounts, including assisting in preparing and posting journal entries for fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, and intercompany adjustments.
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows.
  • Support timely and accurate payroll processing and book appropriate journal entries in coordination with the Accounting Manager.
  • Help research technical accounting issues to ensure company compliance.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reports and tax requirements, including monthly and annual sales tax filings.
  • Assist with the year-end financial statement audit in collaboration with external auditors, as well as any statutory audits that may arise.
  • Support liaison with Banks, Auditors, Vendors, and other External Parties.
  • Assist with FP&A processes, budgeting and cash flow projections, tax planning, ad hoc special projects, and other business analytics.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant and/or CPA (USA); Diploma in IFRS with a university degree in Commerce.
  • Knowledge of Indian GAAP is required. Exposure to US GAAP will be preferred.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills are required.
  • Extensive understanding of the Income tax Act, GST, Companies Act 2013, FEMA, Labour Laws and other statutory & legal requirements.
  • Strong understanding of the treasury and forex principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and communicate effectively.
  • Experience in Zoho Books will be preferred.
