Furniture Design Expert Wanted

We are seeking an accomplished Furniture Designer to create original, commercially viable designs in solid wood.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify customer preferences and trends in global furniture markets
  • Create unique design concepts leveraging expertise in Mango, Oak, Acacia, and Teak materials
  • Develop production-ready drawings using CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino)
  • Collaborate with merchandising and sourcing teams to translate design concepts into viable product collections
  • Work with prototyping teams to refine joinery, finishes, ergonomics, and structural integrity
  • Incorporate KD (knock-down) joinery and export packaging standards into designs
  • Design boards, line sheets, and client presentations for export buyers

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in furniture design, preferably in solid wood
  • Strong skills in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino)
  • Knowledge of global furniture trends, ergonomics, finishing techniques, and joinery
  • Ability to translate abstract research into commercially viable designs
  • Good communication and presentation skills
