Job Title: Senior PHP Laravel Architect / Technical Lead

Our company is seeking a highly experienced technical professional to drive the design, architecture, and delivery of cutting-edge web applications.

As a Senior PHP Laravel Architect / Technical Lead, you will lead large-scale projects, mentor and manage multiple development teams, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.

• Provide strategic technical leadership in designing, architecting, and developing enterprise-grade applications using PHP Laravel.
• Oversee and mentor multiple PHP Laravel development teams, ensuring high code quality, adherence to best practices, and efficient delivery.
• Collaborate with senior business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Define and enforce coding standards, architectural guidelines, and development processes across projects.
• Perform complex architectural reviews, code audits, and performance optimizations to ensure system reliability and scalability.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and frameworks to continuously enhance product capabilities and development efficiency.
• Oversee project budgets, timelines, risk mitigation, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent projects.
• Act as the escalation point for high-priority technical issues and ensure rapid resolution.
• Champion a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

PHP & Laravel Mastery - Deep, hands-on experience designing and building complex, scalable applications using PHP and Laravel for over 10 years.

Architectural Skills - Proficiency in designing software architecture for high-traffic, mission-critical applications.

Team Leadership - Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow multiple development teams, including performance management and skills development.

Strategic Communication - Strong communication skills to influence and align stakeholders from senior leadership to technical teams.

Problem Solving & Decision-Making - Advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ability to make high-impact technical decisions.

Project & Program Management - Expertise in managing complex projects, planning roadmaps, and delivering within budgets and deadlines.

Version Control Systems - Expertise with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Frontend Collaboration - Solid understanding of modern frontend stacks (React.js, Vue, or Angular preferred) and how they integrate with Laravel backends.

Database Engineering - Advanced knowledge of MySQL and familiarity with other RDBMS/NoSQL databases.

Testing & Quality Assurance - Extensive experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test automation frameworks.

Cloud & DevOps - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.

Agile & Scrum Practices - Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and leading cross-functional sprints.

Experience Required:

Minimum 10+ years of hands-on PHP development experience, including 5+ years with Laravel.

Minimum 3+ years as a senior technical lead, architect, or engineering manager.

Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale, high-performance web platforms.

Proven track record of managing multi-team engineering efforts and driving technical roadmaps.

Experience in client/stakeholder management and executive-level communication.
