Business Analyst Position

A seasoned Business Analyst is sought to collaborate with leading General Insurance clients, driving digital transformation and data-led decision-making across the insurance value chain.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in data understanding and insurance domain knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of General Insurance operations, including policy administration, claims lifecycle, underwriting, billing, and regulatory reporting.
  2. Lead data requirement gathering for projects involving data warehouses, data lakes, and operational data stores.
  3. Translate business needs into structured deliverables, including business requirement documents, data dictionaries, and source-to-target mappings.
  4. Design and maintain conceptual and logical data models to support insurance systems.
  5. Normalize and de-normalize data structures, define hierarchies, and incorporate business semantics into model design.
  6. Perform data profiling, validation, and SQL-based analysis to support requirement definition and quality assurance.
  7. Collaborate with developers and data engineers to ensure models are implemented correctly and optimized for performance and usability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  1. 5-7 years of overall experience in IT or Consulting, with a focus on Insurance Business Analysis and Data Modelling.
  2. Strong understanding of one or more insurance processes, including policy lifecycle, claims lifecycle, underwriting, and risk assessment.
  3. Proven experience with data projects, including requirement gathering, transformation logic, mapping, and validation.
  4. Expertise in SQL for data analysis and transformation.
  5. Knowledge of data warehouse, ODS, and data lake architectures.
  6. Familiarity with both modelling techniques, like Normalization etc.
  7. Exposure to Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
  8. Excellent documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
