Software Engineering Role

  • We're seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to work on complex software projects, design and develop applications using Golang, Node.js and PHP.

You will be responsible for creating and optimizing database schemas and queries using MySQL and MongoDB.

We use Redis for caching and integrate with event streaming platforms like Kafka.

You'll collaborate with team members to design and implement product solutions.

Taking ownership of projects from inception to deployment is also key to this role.

Writing clean, efficient and maintainable code is essential.

Working with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy applications on GCP, AWS and Kubernetes is also part of your responsibilities.

Mentoring junior developers and providing technical guidance is another aspect of this role.

You'll work independently and as part of a team to meet project goals.

Solving complex technical challenges and contributing to the continuous improvement of our software development practices is important.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of software development experience, preferably in a product-based company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer/IT Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in either Golang or Node.js.
  • Good to have knowledge of PHP.
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL, Redis, Kafka, MongoDB and data structures.
  • Experience with GCP, AWS and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work on complex, end-to-end software projects.
  • A team player with the ability to also work independently.
  • Proven ability to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality software.
