Expertise in Educational Measurement and Assessment

  • We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as an expert in educational measurement and assessment. This individual will play a crucial role in developing and reviewing items for large-scale assessments and surveys administered to millions of learners worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and reviewing items for large-scale assessments and surveys
  • Designing and leading research studies, including overseeing the work of psychometricians
  • Consulting external clients on psychometric and data issues related to conducting large-scale assessment programs
  • Completing statistical and research plans and reviewing results for reasonableness and accuracy
  • Preparing reports and presentations of project study results and presenting these to clients
  • Representing ETS India and ETS to clients
  • Coordinating the work of psychometricians at ETS India and all psychometric work with ETS HQ
  • Conducting seminars on psychometric issues for staff, test committees, clients, and policy boards
  • Couching and mentoring staff, as appropriate
  • Participating in interviewing and training staff as needed
  • Contributing to the training of client and ETS India staff on the principles of psychometrics and educational measurement

Requirements:

  • A master's degree in educational measurement, English literature, linguistics, quantitative psychology, statistics, or a closely related field, along with experience leading psychometric analysis and demonstrated expertise in educational measurement and psychometrics
  • Minimum 5-6 years' experience working on learning assessments, developing and reviewing English language content, test item design, and capacity building - specifically in languages (English)
  • Experience working on at least three equivalent capacity-building projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • One or more years of experience in educational measurement, quantitative psychology, or teaching, or doctoral studies with a focus on psychometrics and educational measurement
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office to support preparing reports, memos, presentations, and other communications or implementing spreadsheet applications

This is an in-person role, and the successful candidate must live in a location commutable to Delhi NCR.
