We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Cloud Data Engineer.

This key position entails designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale data warehouses and pipelines on the Google Cloud Platform.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in cloud computing, data engineering, and software development.

They should be proficient in programming languages such as Java and Python, and have experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement large-scale data warehouses and pipelines on the Google Cloud Platform
  • Develop software code in Java and Python, integrating it with other technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify project requirements and prioritize tasks
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop tailored solutions
  • Maintain data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data pipeline

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in data engineering and cloud computing
  • Proficiency in GCP services, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions
  • Experience with design patterns, architecture, and implementation of data warehouses and pipelines
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Hadoop, Spark, and others
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
