Director of Climate Leadership

We are seeking a visionary Director to spearhead our climate initiative. This pivotal role will shape our narrative and thought leadership in the realm of climate governance.

  • Lead research on critical themes: energy transition pathways, just transition, decarbonization of industries, climate finance, and social protection linkages
  • Ensure that all outputs-reports, briefs, toolkits-are rigorous, evidence-based, and accessible to policymakers
  • Translate complex research into compelling narratives for funders, governments, and global forums
  • Position us as a trusted thought leader through publications, conferences, and multi-stakeholder dialogues

This is a full-time onsite opportunity; no remote work required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic research plans to drive impact
  • Cultivate partnerships with policymakers, philanthropies, and global climate institutions
  • Maintain a strong network of experts and stakeholders to inform research and policy recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and disseminate impactful research and thought leadership
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in climate policy, governance, or sustainable development
  • At least 5 years in senior leadership roles
  • Strong track record of publishing impactful research and thought leadership
  • Ability to engage with donors and secure large-scale funding
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Mastery of Public Policy, Climate/Environmental Studies, Development Economics, or related fields
