Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Planning: Optimize tax positions through strategic planning, deductions, and credits to minimize the company's tax liabilities.
  • Audit and Litigation: Handle tax audits, resolve tax disputes, and manage litigation related to direct taxes.
  • Transfer Pricing Management: Ensure appropriate transfer pricing policies and compliance with global standards.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify tax risks and recommend mitigation strategies to minimize potential exposure.
  • Tax Filing: Oversee accurate and timely filing of corporate tax returns and other direct tax documentation.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with finance, accounting, and legal teams to align tax strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Regulatory Updates: Stay updated on changes in tax laws and ensure the company adapts to new regulations.
  • Advisory Role: Provide expert tax advice to senior management for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic business decisions.
  • International Tax: Oversee and ensure compliance with direct tax regulations, including corporate tax filings, planning, and managing cross-border tax strategies.

Professional Qualifications:

An ideal candidate holds a Chartered Accountant (CA) certification.

Usually has 3-7 years of experience in direct tax strategy, compliance, and audits, along with knowledge of international taxation and transfer pricing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also essential for this role.

Personal Qualifications:

A Direct Taxation Specialist needs strong analytical skills and attention to detail to handle complex tax matters accurately.
