
Corporate Financial Analyst

As an Intercompany Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of intercompany transactions. This includes initiating and reconciling transactions related to development projects, construction jobs, co-investment entities, and other business lines.
You will be responsible for tracking and reconciling AR and AP balances, ensuring timely settlements and following up on outstanding balances over 60 days. Additionally, you will investigate and resolve intercompany discrepancies, ensuring alignment across business units.
In terms of month-end close and consolidation, you will assist in the monthly close process, ensuring intercompany transactions are properly coded, approved, and recorded. You will also collaborate with FP&A and development accounting teams to ensure expenses are directed to the correct ledger.
Your responsibilities will also include preparing journal entries to reclassify expenses to regional ledgers and ensuring accurate intercompany reporting within Oracle.
Furthermore, you will work with tax teams to ensure the timely payment and billback of federal, state, and local taxes and fees. You will also partner with corporate accounting teams to enhance enterprise-wide efficiency and standardization of intercompany processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably with high-volume transactions in a real estate, development, or construction accounting environment.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of corporate and project accounting principles, GAAP, and multi-entity consolidations.
- Understanding of business operations to ensure accurate expense coding.
- Experience with real estate accounting and ERP systems such as Oracle, Yardi, MRI, JD Edwards, RealPage, or SAP.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).
