Virtualization Lead Administrator

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the planning, deployment, and management of virtualization technologies. As our ideal candidate, you will supervise and mentor a team of administrators while collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable virtualization solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Virtualization Management: Oversee the planning, deployment, and management of virtualization technologies, including Nutanix, VMware, Hyper-V, or other platforms to ensure efficient resource utilization and high availability.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of virtualization administrators, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Infrastructure Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and high-performance virtualization solutions.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor virtualized environments, identify performance bottlenecks, and ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures and policies to protect virtualized environments from threats and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Backup & Recovery: Design and implement robust backup and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Automation: Utilize scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Ansible) to streamline virtualization management tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Capacity Planning: Assess capacity requirements and recommend scaling virtual resources to meet organizational demands.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of virtualization configurations, procedures, and policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in leading virtualization teams.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in virtualization technologies such as AHV, VMware, and Hyper-V.
  • Server Hardware Knowledge: Proficiency in server hardware, storage, and networking concepts.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Scripting and Automation: Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Python, Nutanix Calm, Ansible).
  • Cloud Technologies: Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Nutanix certified are an advantage.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
