Role Overview

This is a full-time role for a Computer Vision Engineer at sliQue Robotics, with a global location requirement. The role involves developing and implementing computer vision algorithms, collaborating with international clients, and providing on-site support during deployments.

Candidates must be willing to travel internationally for up to 6 months per year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Algorithm Development: Design and implement computer vision algorithms for tasks like object detection, tracking, 3D reconstruction, and more.
  • Image Processing Expertise: Implement advanced image processing techniques such as feature detection and matching (SIFT, SURF, ORB), image segmentation (Mask R-CNN, U-Net), and optical flow.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with international clients and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver customized solutions.
  • 3D Vision Development: Engage in 3D vision-related tasks, including Structure from Motion (SfM), SLAM, and depth estimation using tools like Open3D and PCL.
  • Deep Learning for Vision: Develop models using CNNs, YOLO, Faster R-CNN, GANs, and Vision Transformers (ViT) to solve real-world vision challenges.
  • On-Site Support: Provide technical support and integration services during international deployments.
  • Research & Innovation: Stay updated on the latest computer vision and machine learning advancements to incorporate cutting-edge techniques into our products.
  • Performance Optimization: Enhance systems for improved accuracy, efficiency, scalability, including GPU acceleration and real-time processing.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of methodologies, code, and project developments.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in computer vision, image processing, and related fields.

Technical Skills

  • Image Processing: Feature detection, object tracking, segmentation, camera calibration, depth estimation.
  • Deep Learning: CNNs, YOLO, Faster R-CNN, Mask R-CNN, GANs, Vision Transformers, and transfer learning.
  • 3D Vision: Structure from Motion, SLAM, point cloud processing, LiDAR analysis.
  • Programming Languages: Python, C++, MATLAB (for prototyping and research).
  • Libraries and Frameworks: OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow/Keras, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-image, Dlib.
  • Optimization Techniques: Multithreading (OpenMP, TBB), GPU acceleration (CUDA, cuDNN), real-time processing.
