Kids Clothing Buyer

This position is responsible for acquiring merchandise and coordinating with suppliers to meet the needs of designated departments.

The key objectives for this role include contributing to the development of the divisional buying and merchandising strategy, working with the merchandising team to ensure timely deliveries satisfy assigned purchase orders, identifying future product offerings, planning pricing strategies, and developing and sourcing products that meet customer requirements.

Additionally, this role involves maximizing current sourcing channels, identifying new opportunities, supporting negotiations, and collaborating with suppliers to achieve optimal costs and margins.

The buyer will also work closely with designers on style development, design research trips, fabric and print advice, and informing best-selling styles for move-on designs. Furthermore, they will be responsible for managing inventory, style options, quantities, promotions, and markdowns.

The ideal candidate should possess a background in fashion or textile design and 8-12 years of experience in kids' clothing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Textile Design, or related field
• 8-12 years of experience in kids' clothing
• Proven track record of successful merchandise buying and merchandising
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
