About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Lead to join our team at Brightly Software India Private Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data integration solutions using multiple languages (e.g., Java, Scala, Python, PySpark, SparkSQL)
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines supporting various integration patterns (batch, replication/CDC, event streaming) and data lake/warehouse in production environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and rationalize large-scale data environments with multiple data pipelines and integrations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our data engineering practices
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the growth and development of our engineering team

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of software/data engineering experience using Java, Scala, and/or Python, with at least 5 years experience in a data-focused role
  • Experience with AWS-based data services technologies (e.g., Kinesis, Glue, RDS, Athena, etc.) and Snowflake CDW
  • Knowledge and experience with various relational databases and demonstrable proficiency in SQL and supporting analytics uses and users
  • Knowledge of software engineering and agile development best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
