Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the culinary department, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting exceptional pastry and dessert menu items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present high-quality pastry and dessert menu items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Collaborate with the Pastry Chef Tournant to develop new menu items and improve existing ones.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in menu planning and development, ensuring that dishes are creative, visually appealing, and meet nutritional requirements.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Attend meetings, training activities, and courses as required to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by your supervisor or management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Pastry Cook in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service.
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and food safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
