MEP CAD Technician Role Overview

The MEP CAD technician plays a pivotal role in delivering Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health services through accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawing preparation. Working closely with engineers and designers, the technician ensures detailed documentation that supports efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of precise 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems using AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Collaboration with MEP Engineers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • Ensuring drawings meet project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company protocols.
  • Assistance in developing coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
  • Maintenance of drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
  • Supporting project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings.
