Our team supports the completion and timely execution of accounting operations in the General Ledger and Local statutory reporting areas for a leading multinational company.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate requests for GL accounts according to defined procedures. Monitor and clear Journal Voucher requests. Track accrual provisions as per local book balances to ensure Withholding Tax compliance and reporting. Coordinate with Group Business Services for relevant tasks related to General Ledger.
  • Closing Monthly and quarterly Expense analysis and scrutiny. Assist in coordinating with the Group Actuary and HR Department for valuation of Long-Term Employee Benefit provisions, twice a year, and obtaining auditor certification for local statutory reporting.
  • Reporting: Perform XBRL eXtensible Business Reporting Language reporting as prescribed by the Local Authority for local statutory financials in a specific format. Check XBRL reporting for accuracy.
  • Audit and Control: Prepare quarterly and annual variation analyses. Develop audit schedules based on requirement lists. Liaise with auditors on audit requirements, including Letters of Representation and Audit Reports. Collaborate with internal stakeholders on audit requirements and assist in preparing folders for board meetings.

Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) Intermediate or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) degree with 4-5 years of experience in Accounting departments, preferably in manufacturing or marketing companies, handling statutory audits of financials prepared under Ind AS.
  • Sound knowledge of local GAAP and local laws for statutory reporting requirements. Basic understanding of subgroup-specific accounting practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office and related software. Experience with SAP is required. Fluent English in writing and speaking.
