Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Freelance Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to work remotely and contribute to our team's success. This role involves monitoring security alerts, analyzing logs, and identifying threats using advanced tools like IBM QRadar and Microsoft Sentinel.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SOC environments, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring security alerts and investigating potential threats using SIEM tools.
  • Identifying and mitigating security incidents across enterprise systems.
  • Developing correlation rules and dashboards to improve threat detection.
  • Conducting log analysis from multiple sources, including firewalls, servers, endpoints, applications, and cloud infrastructure.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience working in a SOC environment with expertise in incident detection and response.
  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM QRadar and Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Familiarity with log analysis, SIEM tuning, and security event correlation.
  • Knowledge of threat intelligence, MITRE ATT&CK framework, and incident response procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
