Bookkeeper Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting standards, and taxation rules, as well as excellent English communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Additionally, they will prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with Australian accounting standards.

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with Australian accounting standards.
  • Assist with BAS, GST, and other tax-related filings.
  • Process payroll and superannuation contributions (if required).
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Work with accountants to prepare financial reports and ensure compliance.
  • Manage invoicing, receipts, and expense tracking.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of BAS, GST, superannuation, and other Australian compliance requirements.
  • Communication: Fluent English (written and verbal). Clear, professional, and confident communicator.
  • Work Style: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Mindset: Sharp, analytical, and proactive problem-solver.
