About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled software engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the development and maintenance of a large, complex codebase.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in C++11 or later, as well as good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving skills. Experience working in Linux development environments is also required.

Responsibilities will include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, analyzing and debugging defects, and participating in code reviews and design discussions. Additionally, the candidate will support system testing, performance benchmarking, and integration activities.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, with 5-6 years of experience in software development. Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, and exposure to RDBMS or object stores is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Code Development: Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of a large, legacy C++ codebase.
  • Debugging and Issue Resolution: Analyze, debug, and fix defects including memory leaks, performance issues, and crashes.
  • Code Quality and Documentation: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code with focus on quality and maintainability.
  • Linux-Based Tools: Use Linux-based tools for debugging, profiling, and performance tuning.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning. Collaborate closely with senior engineers, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality releases.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • C++ Programming Experience: Strong hands-on programming experience in C++11 or later.
  • Data Structures and Algorithms: Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving skills.
  • Linux Development Environment: Experience working in Linux development environments.
  • Version Control Systems: Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
  • RDBMS/Object Stores: Exposure to RDBMS or object stores is a plus.
