Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a key position that involves managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and possess strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the issuance of debit notes from corporate to intercompany entities.
  • Account for all debit notes/credit notes received from corporate and other intercompany entities after thorough review and adherence to process.
  • Responsible for intercompany account reconciliation and balance confirmation with all other intercompany entities as part of the monthly process.
  • Create and update vendor card details as needed according to process.
  • Collaborate with GL coordinators from respective entities for clarification on any financial matters.
  • Coordinate and follow up with approvers to obtain approval before posting any general ledger entries.
  • Have a strong understanding of general ledger (GL) principles and reconcile GL balances versus sub-ledgers.
  • Download various reports from ERP during the month-end process.
  • Prepare MIS reports, revenue flash reports, and monthly reports.
  • Reconcile GL balances versus sub-ledgers.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and ensure completeness of financial records.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify and investigate any discrepancies or anomalies.
  • Have good knowledge of GL processes.
  • Perform vendor account reconciliation and payment processing based on aging reports.
  • Worked under global AP, AR, and GL systems.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries and have knowledge of debit & credit rules.
  • Understand bookkeeping and accounting entry principles.
  • Prepare bank reconciliation statements.
  • Upload positive pay tracking and publish check details daily.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of basic accounting standards and accounting rules.
  • Familiarity with ERP software, specifically Navision-Microsoft Dynamics, D-365.
  • Flexible work schedule, ideally 4 pm - 1 am IST.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with foreign entities and associates through email or phone calls.
  • Prior experience working in medium to large outsourcing companies (5-6 years).
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B Com), Master's degree in Commerce (M Com), ICWA, or CA Foundation qualification.
