Software Development Specialist Position

We are seeking a skilled Software Development Specialist to design, develop and install software solutions.

This role involves gathering user requirements, defining system functionality and writing code in various languages.

  • Gather user requirements and define system functionality
  • Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
  • Write well-designed, testable code
  • Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility

The ideal candidate will be familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
  • Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
  • Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Software Development Specialist or similar roles.
  • Experience designing interactive applications
  • Ability to develop software in Java, Ruby on Rails, C++ or other programming languages
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies
  • Experience developing web applications using popular web frameworks
  • Experience with test-driven development
