Accounts Receivable Professional Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to oversee the collection of outstanding debts from customers or clients, ensuring timely payment and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement effective debt collection strategies to minimize late payments.
  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and determine actions to take, such as negotiating payment plans or resolving disputes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment inquiries, ensuring seamless communication and timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities, including customer interactions and payment arrangements.
  • Analyze delinquent accounts and prepare reports on the overall status of collections, providing insights for process improvements.
  • Implement credit policies and procedures to minimize non-payment and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Skillset:

  • Must be a qualified professional with a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a master's degree may be preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders, analyzing data and trends to develop effective collection strategies.
  • Familiarity with collection software and tools for managing accounts receivable, with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging or sensitive situations professionally and ethically.
