Job Title:

Navigation and Integrated Systems Expert

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor the maintenance of Navigation Integrated Systems to meet technical and regulatory needs.
  • Work with partners to ensure operational condition.

Role Requirements:

  1. Comply with IMS and relevant international rules and regulations.
  2. Ensure duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental, and ethics policies.
  3. Propose a continuous performance improvement plan.
  4. Monitor or organize surveys / health check / maintenance of navigation integrated systems.
  5. Manage repairs within time and budget by sourcing best solutions with key partners.
  6. Support vessel compliance with flag and class requirements related to navigation integrated systems.
  7. Feedback and challenge repair proposals of partners or vendors to ensure operational availability.
  8. Contribute actively for the issuance of experience feedback, lessons learned from vessel's navigation integrated systems.
  9. Maintain up-to-date data bases of radio and navigation systems onboard.
  10. Discuss optimal lifecycle of navigation integrated systems with expert teams.
  11. Evaluate and assess regularly partners and key vendors.
  12. Prepare annual budgets for assigned vessels in consultation with experts/superintendents/vessel managers.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics and Telecommunications.

Experience: 3 years' experience in support of vessels is preferred.

Special Knowledge and Skills: Good knowledge of integrated radio and navigation systems, OT networking, cybersecurity controls. Troubleshooting, initiative, flair to solve issues and curiosity for new technologies. Project management skills, competencies in various software programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Power Query. Fluency in English. Excellent communication and analytical skills, ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment.
