Medical Writer Role Overview

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Content Specialist to play a pivotal role in crafting compelling medical communications. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your scientific expertise and writing abilities to create engaging content that informs and educates.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality scientific, medical, and educational materials such as slides, abstracts, manuscripts, and meeting materials under the guidance of scientific leads.
  • Liaise with clients, authors, reviewers, and key opinion leaders across therapeutic areas.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, clients, and vendors.
  • Attend workshops, seminars, and trainings to enhance skills and contribute to organizational objectives.
  • Support senior team members at client and external meetings.
  • Apply scientific and creative knowledge to develop effective medical communications initiatives in the digital space.
  • Ensure all materials comply with client requirements, SOPs, style guides, and internal SOPs.
  • Contribute to making cutting-edge research accessible to specific audiences by maintaining current awareness of developments across therapeutic areas or disciplines.
  • Share best practices and client preferences within the medical communications team.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in scientific writing.
  • PhD/MD (Pharmacology) OR PhD (Life Sciences) OR PharmD with a good understanding of clinical research and medical communication.
  • Experience working on publications.
  • Clear, concise, scientific writing style with excellent language skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially with clients.
  • Ability to adapt writing style to different materials and target audiences.
  • Basic knowledge of biostatistics.
  • Literature reviewing and evaluation capabilities.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office.
