About the Job
:Bechtel Corporation is seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our global business unit, you will be responsible for performing engineering tasks that require the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices, as well as experience in control system engineering in Oil and Gas. They will be responsible for preparing design criteria for controls and instrumentation, sizing pressure safety valves, and performing control valve, flow element, and thermowell sizing calculations.
You will also assist in developing or reviewing discipline material quantity estimates, prepare complex loop control narratives, cause and effect matrix for process and F&G systems, logic narratives, and develop I/O data bases for DCS, SIS, F&G, and mechanical vendor packages.
Additional responsibilities include preparing instrument index, data sheets, wiring and loop diagrams, loop folders, calculation in Smart Plant Instrumentation, and preparing technical specification, datasheet, technical queries, technical bid, analysis (TBA) of various supplier's offers for instruments like transmitters, temperature elements, mass flow meters, etc.
As a Control Systems Engineer at Bechtel Corporation, you will work on projects that involve the preparation, interpretation, or review of calculations, specifications, plans, requisitions, guides, databases, and/or systems. You will also participate in 3D model review sessions, Hazop and SIL/LOPA reviews, and coordinate assigned work with other technical personnel.
We are looking for candidates who have a B Tech in Instrumentation & Control from a recognized university and 12-16 years of industry experience for Level 1 and 16+ years for Level 2. You should have a thorough knowledge of discipline engineering techniques, the design of engineered systems, and engineering and design calculations.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare design criteria for controls and instrumentation
- Sizing pressure safety valves
- Performing control valve, flow element, and thermowell sizing calculations
- Assisting in developing or reviewing discipline material quantity estimates

Requirements
- B Tech in Instrumentation & Control from a recognized university
- 12-16 years of industry experience for Level 1 and 16+ years for Level 2
- Thorough knowledge of discipline engineering techniques, the design of engineered systems, and engineering and design calculations
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualification
- Engineering and design experience in LNG EPC or feed projects
- TUV/Exida Certified Functional Safety Professional and Certified CyberSecurity Professional
