Job Overview

The Data and AI Manager will lead a team of data scientists, AI specialists, data engineers, and BI developers in a collaborative and innovative environment. The manager will provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members, orchestrate C-Level initiatives, and make sure all strategic initiatives are aligned and coordinated.

The ideal candidate will have 12 years of experience in data science, artificial intelligence, or related fields, with proven experience in managing and leading data and AI teams. A minimum undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, with an advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline preferred.

  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage a team of data scientists, AI specialists, data engineers, and BI developers
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment
    • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members
  • Strategic Planning
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive data and AI strategy aligned with the company's objectives
    • Identify opportunities for leveraging data and AI to drive business value
    • Define and implement a strategic roadmap for the CoE, aligning with the organization's goals and objectives to maximize the impact of data and AI
  • Project Management
    • End-to-end accountability from concept design of a business transformation, Data and AI Projects, to implementation
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
    • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Technical Expertise
    • Stay current with the latest advancements in data science and AI technologies
    • Provide technical guidance and support to the team
    • Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance data and AI capabilities
  • Data Governance and Compliance
    • Establish and enforce data governance policies and best practices
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
    • Promote data quality and integrity across the organization
Requirements
  • Experience
    • 12 years of experience in data science, artificial intelligence, or related fields
  • Qualifications
    • Minimum Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field
    • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline (preferred)
  • Skills
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL
    • Experience with AI ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar
    • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
