We are seeking an experienced IT Director to lead our technology initiatives. As an IT Director, you will be responsible for overseeing hardware and software deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support based on innovation and IT infrastructure strategy.
- Oversee the authorization and deployment of hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Develop and implement configuration and monitoring standards for network performance and ensure compliance with established controls.
- Evaluate business needs, objectives, and goals, researching innovative IT applications necessary to meet the needs of the organization.
- Analyze complex business needs presented by users and customers, recommending technical solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Develop plans for the implementation of new projects, coordinating deliverables with project leaders and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement IT policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational values and objectives.
- Design, configure, and optimize hardware, operating systems, networks, storage, and backup devices for reliability, availability, and performance in a physical or virtual environment.
- Manage Active Directory and Citrix configurations, ensuring secure and efficient access to resources.
- Implement management tools, including monitoring, security, backup tools, and network solutions, ensuring optimal system performance.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to application delivery via Citrix and AWS, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum user satisfaction.
- Coach and direct IT staff in operational activities, ensuring compliance with organizational needs, objectives, and budget.
- Manage IT staff recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions, promoting a positive work environment.
- Maintain awareness of changing IT trends, best practices, and regulations, taking corrective action as required.
- Participate in hardware and software evaluations, vendor contracts, and purchasing recommendations, ensuring value for money.
- Develop business case justifications and cost-benefit analysis for IT budgeting, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop an annual IT budget, justifying expenses when necessary, and reviewing actual results against planned performance.
- Direct management on potential technology solutions and implementations, supporting innovation and IT's new initiatives, opportunities, and procurement efforts.
- Ensure network staff/resources utilize technology to provide secure processes to access information.
- Oversee end-user services, including help desk and technical support services, ensuring high-quality user experiences.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT, CIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
- PACS/Clinical imaging experience preferred.
- 12-15 years of experience managing and directing enterprise IT operations.
- Enterprise, networking, virtualization, or security certifications preferred.
- Minimum of three years of HIPAA and/or GDPR experience.
- Familiarity with designing, installing, validating, and operating complex clinical imaging data software and hardware systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet software.
- Ability to provide quality control reviews for working documents and reports regarding technical, scientific, or research implications.
- Proficiency in maintaining desktop IT systems and supporting network operations in a regulated environment.
- ITIL experience and managing IT as a service; certification a plus.
- Cloud, PAAS, or SAAS environment experience; directly and/or through Managed Service Providers.
