Lead Teradata Developer Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Teradata Developer to join our data engineering team. With 10-15 years of experience, the ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise in Teradata architecture, development, and optimization, coupled with a strong understanding of ETL processes, performance tuning, and data warehousing concepts.

As a Lead, you'll be responsible for guiding a team of developers, ensuring the delivery of high-performance data solutions that precisely meet business requirements. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable Teradata-based data solutions.
  • Guide and mentor a team of Teradata developers, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and project timelines.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain complex ETL processes using various Teradata utilities and industry-standard tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications Include:

  • 10-15 years of experience in data warehousing, with 8+ years specifically in Teradata Development.
  • Strong hands-on experience in SQL, BTEQ, TPT, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and FastExport.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL frameworks, and dimensional data modeling.
  • Proficient in performance tuning, query optimization, and workload management in Teradata.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Familiarity with data integration tools such as Informatica, Talend, or DataStage.
  • Teradata certification is a plus.
