Container Ship Solutions Developer

As a Naval Architect, you will collaborate with our team to develop digital solutions for large container ships.

You will work closely with project teams to understand business requirements, translate them into actionable tasks, and build impactful solutions. Your typical day may involve:

  • Analysing container ship operations data (historical, noon reports, EEXI reports)
  • Conceptualising the building of Digital Twins for large Container vessels
  • Identifying relevant data needed to build Container Ship Digital Twins
  • Guiding Data Scientists with domain inputs for building Digital Twins
  • Building Digital Twin models including Fuel Performance Curves, Vessel Hydrodynamic Stability, and other models as needed
  • Modelling the effect of windage, vessel speed, drift, trim, heel, hull condition, propeller condition, Engine condition, waves impact, wind impact, and other parameters affecting fuel consumption
  • Creating derived parameters like Trim, Metacentric Height, Windage etc from various sources of base data
  • Tactical solutions for avoiding Parametric and Synchronous rolling, including methods to alert concerned people with recommendations
  • Sharing vessel digital twin models for weather re-routing where necessary
  • Ai/Ml solutions recommending vessel speed through water, overconsumption alerts, fouling margin etc
  • Visualising the Vessel Digital Twin for end-users if necessary
  • Scanning and recommending process improvements, statutory guidelines, and updates, benchmarking in areas such as fuel consumption-power curves and vessel hydrodynamic performance models
