Job Title: Accessibility Specialist


Description:

This role is responsible for ensuring digital products and documents are accessible to individuals with disabilities. The specialist will work closely with design, development, and QA teams to identify and remediate accessibility issues.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct automated and manual audits for websites, documents, and multimedia content.
  • Perform real-user testing with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation.
  • Remediate PDFs and Office documents by providing clear, prioritized fixes and hands-on support.
  • Guide developers on accessible coding practices using ARIA, semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Prepare VPATs/ACRs and client-facing accessibility conformance documentation.
  • Advise clients on ADA, Section 508, WCAG 2.1/2.2, and emerging US/state accessibility laws.
  • Support quarterly monitoring and ongoing compliance programs.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

A strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA Title II/III, Section 504/508, as well as proficiency in tools such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Axe, WAVE, SiteImprove, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
