Senior Java Developer for Capital Markets

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team at PradeepIT Consulting Services Pvt Ltd. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying complex software applications for the capital markets domain.

Estimated Salary: ₹1,200,000 - ₹1,500,000 per annum

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, with experience working on large-scale enterprise applications. You should have a good understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, design patterns, and software engineering principles.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Calypso Development: Experience working with Calypso, including its architecture, engines, servers, build, and deployment processes.
  • Java Programming: Strong knowledge of Java programming language, including Java SE and Java EE.
  • SQL and Database Management: Experience working with SQL databases, including database design, development, and optimization.
  • Unix and Linux: Familiarity with Unix and Linux operating systems, including shell scripting and command-line interfaces.
  • Eclipse and IDEs: Experience working with Eclipse and other integrated development environments (IDEs).
  • Capital Markets Domain: Good understanding of the capital markets domain, including financial instruments, trading platforms, and market infrastructure.
  • Awareness of FO/MO/BO Functions: Familiarity with front-office (FO), middle-office (MO), and back-office (BO) functions in the capital markets domain.
  • Trade Lifecycle: Awareness of trade lifecycle, including pre-requisites, trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and post-trade processing.
  • Static and Reference Data: Experience working with static and reference data, including data setup, management, and validation.
  • Workflow Customizations: Experience customizing workflows, including trade/messaging/transfers workflow customizations.
  • BO Customizations: Experience customizing back-office functions, including messaging, reports, scheduled tasks, and task stations.
  • Interfacing Applications: Experience implementing interfacing applications, including MarkitWire, Reuters, DTCC, Acadia, and others.
  • Analysis, Communication, and Estimation Skills: Strong analysis, communication, and estimation skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Documentation and Unit Testing Skills: Good documentation and unit testing skills, with ability to write clear, concise, and well-documented code.
  • Training Resources: Ability to train resources, including junior developers and technical support staff.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Gradle and GIT: Experience working with Gradle and GIT, including version control and continuous integration.
  • SpringBoot and Tomcat: Familiarity with SpringBoot and Tomcat, including web application development and server configuration.
  • Pricers and Pricer Measures: Experience customizing pricers and pricer measures, including calculation and validation.
  • ERS, SIMM, Collateral Modules: Experience implementing ERS, SIMM, and collateral modules, including data setup, configuration, and customization.
  • Calypso Upgrade: Experience upgrading Calypso systems, including planning, execution, and testing.
  • Agile Framework and DEVOPS: Familiarity with Agile framework and DEVOPS, including continuous delivery and continuous integration.
  • FileZilla and Putty: Experience using FileZilla and Putty, including file transfer and remote access.
