About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Safety Manager to join our team at Bastian Solutions. This is a challenging role that requires a strong background in safety management, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Program Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs for construction sites, including hazard assessments, training programs, and incident response plans.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to occupational health and safety, including OSHA standards.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential hazards and risks on construction sites and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Training and Coaching: Provide regular training and coaching to site personnel on safety procedures, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and near-misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Contractor Management: Oversee the selection, qualification, and supervision of contractors to ensure they meet safety standards.
  • Communication and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety activities, inspections, and audits; communicate safety information to site personnel, management, and regulatory agencies as required.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in construction safety management, with a focus on environmental health and safety.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program certification, Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation, or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard assessment techniques, and safety program development principles.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
