Job Description:

We're seeking an experienced Information Retrieval Engineer to design, develop, and optimize search solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences.

The ideal candidate will combine strong software engineering skills with deep knowledge of information retrieval systems.

  • Design and implement advanced search functionality using modern search technologies (such as Elasticsearch, Solr, or similar platforms)
  • Develop high-quality, scalable search applications with focus on relevancy, performance, and user experience
  • Create and optimize search algorithms, ranking models, and retrieval methods
  • Create Knowledge Graphs from various corporate data sources
  • Implement and fine-tune query understanding, text analysis, and relevance scoring
  • Analyze and maintain existing search infrastructure and applications
  • Design and execute A/B tests to measure search quality improvements
  • Develop efficient indexing strategies and data preparation pipelines
  • Implement machine learning models for search ranking
  • Discover and fix programming bugs
  • Monitor and optimize search performance metrics
  • Create and maintain documentation for search systems
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field is a must.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development is required, including at least 3 years of experience developing search solutions.

Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or similar is expected.

Hands-on experience with search engines like Elasticsearch, Solr, or similar is necessary.

Strong understanding of information retrieval concepts such as TF-IDF, BM25, vector search is required.

Expertise in SQL databases and experience with NoSQL solutions is expected.

Experience with text processing, NLP, and relevance tuning is necessary.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
