Cloud Architect Role Overview

Our company is seeking a seasoned Cloud Architect to design and propose cloud architecture using open-source cloud orchestrators like CloudStack, virtualization, and automation technology in complex multi-tenant environments.

  • Engage with customers and prospects to demonstrate solutions highlighting key differentiators.
  • Assist customers with initial product evaluations and testing setting the stage for successful implementation.
  • Connect technical requirements to business needs essential for this role's success.
  • Respond to RFIs or RFPs communicating product differentiators.
  • Prepare and deliver differentiated solution presentations or technical proposals.
  • Manage and/or deliver technical validation activities including Proof Of Concepts.
  • Build relationships enable partners to find and realize opportunities.
Must-Have Skills:
  • Experience with enterprise cloud solution implementation thorough understanding of cloud technologies and concepts.
  • Working knowledge of leading private cloud platforms such as VCloud OpenStack or CloudStack.
  • Thorough understanding of virtualization concepts especially ESXi/KVM hypervisors.
  • Strong knowledge of container technologies particularly Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of network and application security infrastructure hardening security baselines web server and database security.
  • Excellent written communication skills experience preparing technical proposals RFP responses and BoQs.
  • High presentation skills and composure in front of all levels of technical and business customers or prospects.
  • Ability to work within a dynamic international environment managing Proof Of Concept activities for customers in the Cloud Domain.
  • Takes responsibility for projects and strategic initiatives striving for standardization and simplification in all aspects of work.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Relevant bachelor's degree.
  • 7 plus years of experience.
