Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Design Lead to join our product development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, leadership skills, and experience working with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Lead end-to-end product design and development lifecycle: concept design, prototyping, design validation, tooling, and product launch.">
  • Translate customer/market requirements into innovative and manufacturable product designs.">
  • Develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks with full GD&T and tolerance stack-up.">
  • Perform design calculations, DFMEA, and tolerance analysis for robust product performance.">
  • Design products in plastics (injection moulding), sheet metal, die-casting, and machining.">
  • Drive material selection based on performance, regulatory compliance, and cost.">
  • Ensure manufacturability, assembly efficiency, and cost optimization.">
  • Hands-on experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping to validate form, fit, and function.">
  • Build and test prototypes to identify design gaps early in the cycle.">
  • Design products with proper thermal management (passive cooling, heatsinks, venting, etc.).">
  • Preliminary structural analysis, drop, and reliability considerations.">
  • Define and execute test protocols for functional verification.">

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • ">
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.">
  • 8-10 years of mechanical product design & development experience.">
  • SolidWorks CAD expertise with simulation exposure (thermal/structural FEA preferred).">
  • Proven ability to deliver end-to-end product designs from concept to market.">
  • Leadership experience managing a small team (2-3 engineers).">
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.">
  • A strong background in consumer electronics or similar domain experience.">
