Restaurant Operations Assistant Manager

\

As a Restaurant Operations Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily supervision of restaurant operations and menu planning. You will work closely with the Director of Restaurants or Restaurant Manager to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Assist in the management of restaurant teams by handling employee questions and concerns.\
  • Monitor employees to ensure performance expectations are met.\
  • Provide feedback to employees based on observation of service behaviors.\
  • Supervise daily shift operations in the absence of the Director of Restaurants or Restaurant Manager.\
  • Participate in department meetings by communicating clear and consistent messages regarding departmental goals to produce desired results.\
  • Conduct day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring all employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.\
  • Communicate any issues regarding food quality and service levels to the Chef and Restaurant Manager.\
  • Ensure compliance with all restaurant policies, standards, and procedures.\
  • Monitor alcohol beverage service in compliance with local laws.\
  • Perform all duties of restaurant employees and related departments as necessary.\
  • Open and close restaurant shifts.\
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.\
  • Supervise staffing levels to ensure guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.\
  • Encourage employees to provide excellent customer service within guidelines.\
  • Handle guest problems and complaints, seeking assistance from supervisor as necessary.\
  • Strive to improve service performance.\
  • Set a positive example for guest relations.\
  • Assist in reviewing comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.\
  • Meet and greet guests.\
  • Supervise ongoing training initiatives.\
  • Use all available on-the-job training tools for employees.\
  • Communicate performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position.\
  • Coach and counsel employees regarding performance on an ongoing basis.\
  • Additional responsibilities include providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, email, or in person.\
  • Recognize good quality products and presentations.\\/ul>
