Senior Software Quality Engineer Job Description

This role involves guiding a team of SDETs in test automation, framework enhancements, and evangelizing quality. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in software testing, development, and architecture.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing source code, debugging issues, and implementing industry best practices. They will also participate in reviews of technical specifications and program code with architects and developers.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide the work of SDETs in test automation and framework enhancements.
  • Review source code for potential problems and help debug and triage issues.
  • Implement industry best practices for coding guidelines, peer reviews, and CI/CD processes.
  • Participate in reviews of technical specifications and program code.
  • Enable CI/CD integration for automated test suites.
  • Collaborate with other teams for successful delivery of new system features.
  • Triage customer issues and provide root cause analysis.
  • Provide guidance to SDETs and associates.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in software testing, development, and architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Docker.
