Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the security team, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on applications, infrastructure, cloud, and network layers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using industry-standard tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus, Nmap, Metasploit, OWASP ZAP, Wireshark, and others.
  • Identify security issues, misconfigurations, and vulnerabilities and provide detailed risk analysis and actionable recommendations to ensure optimal security posture.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality VAPT reports including technical findings and risk-based remediation guidance to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with development, IT, and security teams to validate and mitigate identified vulnerabilities through effective communication and coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and adherence to best practices.
  • Conduct retesting to validate the effectiveness of implemented security controls and measure their impact on the organization's overall security.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in VAPT (Application, Network, Cloud, Mobile, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 25, MITRE ATT&CK framework, and secure coding practices to ensure robust security defenses.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell is a plus for efficient tool utilization and automation.
  • Experience with SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred for streamlined security operations.
  • Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, eJPT, eCPPT, or similar are desirable to demonstrate expertise and commitment to security.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and address complex security challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure seamless collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared security goals.
  • Strong documentation and report-writing capabilities to present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in BFSI, Telecom, or Technology sectors to leverage existing knowledge and expertise.
  • Exposure to compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or SOC 2 is an advantage to ensure regulatory adherence and risk management.
