Mainframe Testing Expertise

We are seeking a talented Mainframe Testing Engineer to join our dedicated team of experts.

 

  • Develop and execute test cases for mainframe applications, focusing on both functional and non-functional testing strategies.
  • Monitor and maintain test environments while coordinating with development teams for defect management and tracking.
  • Perform regression testing and ensure that software updates do not adversely affect existing functionality and system stability.
  • Utilize test management tools to document tests, track defects, and report quality metrics and performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide feedback on application functionality and user experience.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to the development of test strategies and planning processes.
  • Conduct performance and stress testing to assess system responsiveness and reliability.

 

Key Requirements

 

  • 5-11 years of experience in mainframe testing, preferably in banking and financial services sectors.
  • Experience with testing tools such as BMC Mainframe Tools, IBM Rational Test Workbench, or similar solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, and databases (DB2, IMS) with ability to create and execute complex SQL queries for data validation.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail and strong communication skills to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with relevant qualifications.
